The module Alma 2D VIEWER is a medical image viewer for images obtained from radiological explorations, and from different modalities captured by workstations such as conventional radiography (CR), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance (MR), Mammography (MG), and Ultrasound (US).

Description

Alma 2D VIEWER is essentially a complete radiological viewer that incorporates the most advanced visualisation and evaluation tools.

Alma 2D VIEWER, validated by the IHE, is totally compatible with DICOM, and is prepared to work integrally with HIS/RIS/PACS’ clinical information systems.

Alma 2D VIEWER product meets the requirements of Directive 93/42/EEC concerning medical devices and has been certified by SGS United Kingdom Limited (notified body number 0120), obtaining the CE mark.

Direct integration in HIS/RIS/PACS Systems.
Conformity to DICOM Standards. Alma3D works like DICOM Query/Retrieve SCU, and like DICOM Store SCU and SCP.
Manipulation of 2D images:
- Control of the visualisation window (Window Width/Level): interactive W/L, predetermined windows, negative, etc.
- Zoom and displacement. – Magnification tool that moves around the image to momentarily enlarge a desired area.
- Image rotation (+90, -90) and horizontal or vertical views.
Comparisons of synchronised series by position.
Direct access to previous patient scans.
Reference lines for exact positioning of the image being studied on localizers and topograms.
3D point to localize the same point in different projections

Image Annotations:
- Measurements: distances, angles, diameters, areas, etc.
- Comments and arrows.
- Regions of interest (ROI).
Movie control: play forward, play back, infinite loop, speed control, etc.
Exportation of 2D images in DICOM, JPEG, TIF or BMP formats.
Creation of Key Image Notes (KIN).
Selection of images to perform the fusion of images, applying projection means, MIP and MinIP.
Digital subtraction Angiography: The mask tool is used for angiography and allows for comparison and contrast of small changes between images in the same series.
Minimum requirements for the system: Intel PENTIUM IV processor: 1 GB memory, High resolution graphic card.
